hello!!

i'm in shanghai! missed u guys loads over there. haha this is the only time i'll be online down here...hmmm. hope u all missed me. =D i'll buy lots of gum. promise=D

12 MORE DAYS....i'm missing home like crazy. we're living in the hostel, and though i love the beds, (6 in a room, double decker beds, VERY COSY) i hate the toilets. eww eww eww. the beds are damn nice la...very very warm to like, sleep on the upper deck and facing each other. everynight we make a hell of noise until like 12 smth? even after lights out we will still continue chatting away with a torchlight.=)

i am missing home!!! okay, hi yun xia!!! yup yup i am missing home...i want to come home FAST. haish, a little tiring here. every moment must be on guard. then every night so little sleep, every day walk on unfamiliar roads, then the toilet also...HAISH. the city toilets are beautiful but the hostel ones are...SIGH. nvm nvm. carn wait to go su zhou. hmmm. haha hope the toilets are clean there! hotel right...should be clean right... hmmm=)

first day, we reached shanghai at 12 something. its not cold at all lorh...so hot!! like singapore. but its more cooling. hahaha didn want to wear longs but its all i brought. SIGH. then we took this bus to jiaoda fuzhong, entered the hostel, got a culture shock, came out again and later went to some restaurant for a welcome dinner. hahaha. it was real nice, the dinner. i realised that all restaurants have the same kind of stuff for appetizers. the its like we had this prawn dish, then the waiter took this bowl and put the prawns all lying face down in the bowl one by one....ITS DAMN FUNNY! the we were playing with it and we decided to call them the suntanning prawns, and then the 5 of us, (my roomates, me, xianyun, wanqin, mo di, eunice) like fa1 zhan3 into the prawn family! i became rong-xia (melting prawn), xianyun became yun xia (cloudy prawn) eunice (jie ying) became ying xia (winning prawn), mo di became di xia (floor prawn) and wanqin became...... QIN XIA!!! (love prawn!) hahahahaha then now we call each other by these names. very fun.

yesterday we went to the shang hai lao jie...its very very nice. bought a lot of stuff for my family. =) its so beautiful...the buildings are so antique! *dreams...* then after shopping and haggling, OH YAR. talking abt haggling...ms tan is so li hai can!!! she's reallie professional at haggling. i wanted to buy these two pendants for my cousins, then they were 28 RMB each. then its like she didn reallie wnat to give a discount. i told her how abt i pay 10 for each pendant, then i buy 2 from her? she refused, then she said too little liao. then ms tan came to help me, and she told me to insist on what i want. i was a little afraid to insist on only paying 10 rmb for smth that costs 28 rmb. but i still told her, 10. then she was like cannot. then ms tan dragged me away and said, okay lor, we dunbuy already. then the woman was like, please dun go! okay i give u a discount! how abt u buy 2 for 45 rmb? i didn noe what to say. before i could even think of a reply, ms tan said, dun want. either 10 or nothing, then she start to walk off again. then the shop keeper was like, okay okay! how abt 20 for 1? then we were like, no. then she said, but i reallie cannot give u 10 rmb for 1, its too cheap. then we were like, okay, 15. then she was like, no too cheap. then we walked away again, this time i tot she would not call but she did after we were a distance away. okay, fine, 15 rmb for 1. then as a was paying her, she was like cursing us, saying she needs to eat also and stuff. i kind of pitied her la, and i felt pretty bad. but ms tan told me most of these stuff cost much much more than their production cost, so its okay...

today we stepped in our class for the first time...and we had lessons for the first time too. its like, on our first night we were introduced to our buddies. mine's yi wen. it was like around 9 when they came looking for us. hahaha i was the first!!! she wad damn nice, she even wrote out her time table for me. they having exams next week.

i like the lessons though, i'm in the same class as cheryl chang. haha. we reallie fated lorh. sit together on the plane, the now lessons also the same class. but we are seperated. i sit with my buddy, yi wen and the monitor of the class. the monitor is damn smart la. everything like highest in class. haish. he's very nice too. not BT like some ppl... the lessons are quite fun, although its all in chinese and i dun understand a single thing. got to listen reallie hard and try to guess what it means. my class ppl quite nice. the guys very biantai but those whom i sit with are nice ppl. =D there was one who clapped when i entered the classroom. ahha! he was the only one. very funny...then he was like asking ard why no one clapping...hahaha.

the lessons are all quite cheem, like for chem we have wat yuan zi and li zi and dunno wat zi. a lot a lot of zis...carn undertsand a single thing in chem, all the terms are so so different. carn even guess. the teacher was so nice. almost all the teachers spoke to me after the lessons, then the chem teacher was like asking me whether i understand what's being taught. i said, no. then she asked me why and whether it was the language problem and i told her yes. then she wanted to find out the jiao4 cai2 fang1 shi4 of chemistry in singapore. hahaha. then she asked me for my textbook and when i told her i dun have it she thought i left it in the hostel. then i told her, its in singapore. then she was like, oh! u didn bring? then i told her we finished our exams now and we are on holiday. hahaha.

we had PE, english, physics, chem, computer and chinese lessons today. not too bad, pretty fun la. hahaha. they ended school liao...at 2.30pm today. now we are having free time! so i'm blogging. hmmm. okay. i think this is a very very long post... *scrolls* yup. it is. hahaa. k gtg for now! bye and see u in 12 days!
